Lodge members from Western Washington Sons of Norway lodges enjoyed the Lodge Leadership/Officer Orientation seminar at the Norden Lodge in January. Featured presenters were Chris Hicks, International Director and Jerry Erickson, District 2 President. Many topics including a quick glance at Sons of Norway history; a guide for leadership; understanding responsibilities; and tips for an improved and healthy lodge were presented. A tutorial of the information available on the Sons of Norway website was exhibited. Attendees had the opportunity to ask questions about the leadership roles and the chance to network with their peers from other lodges. Plans are being made to make this an annual event in both Eastern and Western Washington locations.
